Is this service right for me?

• Our Adult ADHD Service is designed for adults (18 years and over) who have already received a confirmed ADHD diagnosis and require ongoing specialist care. This includes patients who are waiting to start ADHD medication, require medication initiation and titration, are due an annual ADHD review, need medication optimisation, wish to transfer their ADHD care from another provider, or are looking for ongoing specialist ADHD support.

Why should I choose KMS for my ADHD care?

• We understand that many patients experience long waits for medication reviews, delays in treatment and difficulty accessing specialist ADHD support. Our service has been designed to provide rapid access to specialist ADHD care, structured medication initiation and titration, ongoing medication and annual reviews, and support with Shared Care arrangements where appropriate.
• Our service is clinically overseen by experienced specialist clinicians and delivered by highly skilled Independent Nurse Prescribers with expertise in ADHD, ensuring safe, evidence-based and timely care throughout your treatment journey.

What information do I need to provide before my appointment?

• Before your first appointment, we will ask you to complete our patient registration form, consent forms and acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.
• We will also ask you to provide your ADHD diagnostic report, any recent clinic letters or treatment summaries, details of your current medication (where applicable), and any relevant physical health monitoring results (such as blood pressure, pulse, height and weight if available).
• Providing this information in advance enables our clinicians to prepare fully and make the best use of your appointment.

What happens if I need to start or change ADHD medication?

• If medication is clinically appropriate, we will develop an individual treatment plan and support you throughout the titration process. You will receive regular reviews to monitor your response, manage any side effects and adjust your medication until you reach the most effective and stable dose.
• Once your medication is stabilised, you will transition into our ongoing annual review pathway to ensure your treatment remains safe and effective. Medication can only be prescribed following a comprehensive clinical review confirming that treatment is appropriate.

Can you arrange Shared Care with my GP?

• In many cases, once your ADHD medication has been safely initiated and your dose has been stabilised, your GP may be able to take over prescribing your medication through a Shared Care Agreement.
• This is a formal arrangement where your GP prescribes your medication while our specialist clinicians continue to provide your ongoing ADHD reviews and clinical oversight.
• We will support this process by preparing the necessary clinical documentation and liaising with your GP where appropriate.

• If your GP is unable to participate in Shared Care, we will discuss alternative options with you, including ongoing private prescribing where clinically appropriate, to ensure there is no unnecessary interruption to your treatment.

How quickly can I be seen and how much does the service cost?

• We understand how frustrating delays in ADHD care can be, particularly when treatment or medication reviews are overdue. Our aim is to provide timely access to specialist appointments, helping you start, continue or optimise your treatment as quickly and safely as possible.
• We believe in clear and transparent pricing, with all consultation fees published on our website and no hidden charges. All appointments must be paid for securely in advance using our online payment system (Stripe). Private prescriptions and medication costs are separate from consultation fees and are payable by the patient.
